About us

Located Behind the Total filling station at Bonateki, Deido in the city of Douala (Cameroon’s economic capital), and founded by Miranda Ejang Tatabod, MIMS KIDDIES SCHOOL COMPLEX has since grown from nothing but a huge dream prior to February 2014, and now turned into one of Cameroon’s iconic models for the nursing of future stars in several domains. Having recognized that the children’s world has changed dramatically in the past four to five decades in Cameroon, and as we continue to bear witness to the evolution and intense involvement of homemakers in diverse economic activities; there was and still is an increasing need for day care and excellent upbringing in early childhood development. This brought about the advent of MIMS KIDDIES DAYCARE project with a vision to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for the youngest learners. By September 2014, our school expanded to include a Kindergarten section, reaffirming our purpose of laying strong educational foundations through early childhood development. Driven by a passion for excellence and innovation in education, the institution soon evolved into the Mims Kiddies Bilingual Educational Center for Early Childhood Development. In September 2018, we reached a new milestone with the launch of a model Elementary Level of Education, marking a significant step in our commitment to quality elementary education. Over the past four years, Mims Kiddies has proudly presented four consecutive batches for the First School Leaving Certificate Exam, with each batch achieving a remarkable 100% success rate – a testament to our school's dedication, competent and professional staff, and supportive learning environment. Now, in 2025, Mims Kiddies School Complex is charting new territory as we open our doors to the College Level, welcoming students into First Cycle Grammar and Commercial Studies. This exciting expansion reaffirms the school's mission to empower learners at every stage and guarantee a nurturing environment that builds Confidence, Character, Competence and Every Child Shines as a future leader grounded in integrity. The Mims Kiddies College campus is in the confines of Bonaberi, precisely at CIBEC, Bonendale (Cité Chinoise).

For Kindergarten and Elementary: - Project-based approach focuses on bringing real-life situations for children to solve. - Integrated Learning Theme approach aims at contextualizing learning and fostering the inter-disciplinary nature of the curriculum, thus, helping to bring learning closer to the learner. Each ILT is used for 01 pedagogic month and cumulates to other relevant pedagogic activities.
